Welcome to PH 206
Instructor: Dr. Nicole Pietrasiak
Course meets: 9:30-10:45 Tuesday and Thursday in Dolan W116
Objectives of the Course:
In PH 115, Earth Science, we covered earth history, geology and atmospheric science. In PH 206 we will emphasize on earth surface processes, soils, hydrology/limnology, and biogeochemical cycles. We conclude the course with a section on biomes, in which we will link all processes we learned about and the biota together. In this course we will also focus on some important environmental issues. We will learn about why and how humans aim to manage our natural resources. We will take three Saturday field trips as part of the course activity.
